Lorde Inglewood Concert reviews
Strange mix in the colosseum
I like the combination of creative artists but there was definitely a very clear gap between those there to see RTJ, and those there to see Lorde. I think it's fun and gives folks new perspective but it also makes some people grumpy. Like the dude behind me that complained about me standing and instead of asking me how we could fix the situation he just dropped pot shot comments and came off as passive aggressive the whole set (poor guy was really upset). As soon as the next act came on, said grump proceeded to stand in front of the people behind him and suddenly began to enjoy the show. Maybe this was isolated and it surely did not hamper my experience, I just feel bad for people like this.
There were a lot of empty seats. My overall perspective if they may have aimed too high and over estimated turnout and energy for the event. Colosseum sound is always mediocre, the show would have been significantly better in another venue.
We had fun! I will pursue these artists in other forums. But wouldn't do this combination of acts and venue again, not for those ticket prices.
